What is Fantator
Fantator is a website that allows you to give regular updates on sports matches taking place around the world.
If you do not fancy giving updates, then you can follow somebody who is.
What does Fantator mean and where did it come from
A long time was spent in a valley meditating and trying to come up with a name, then like a bolt of lightning it hit me......
Ok ok, A Fantator is a mix between a commentator and a fan, its totally made up.
How does it work
If you really want to become a Fantator as opposed to just passing by now and again, you can create an account and the most important thing is to take the "Fantator oath".
When you have completed registration, fill in your profile information, limit this to what you feel comfortable with people knowing.
Then go to the fixtures/schedule list, click on the "fantate" button. Walaa you are now a Fantator for that game, now go back to your profile or status page
and just keep updating your status.
Alternatively update your status and fellow Fantators will be able to find your updates through the search facility.
How do I add a Friend
To add a friend go to their profile page, and click on the "Follow" button, this will now allow you to recieve their updates in your activity stream.
If the user you have added, returns the love and starts following you, you will be able to send private messages between each other.
How many games can I Fantate on
You can only Fantate on one game at a time.
I want to give a Fantator some rep points but cannot see the "give rep" button
The give rep button is only available once a game has started, this helps to cut down on evil Fantators who want to get their rep up through underhand tactics.
Can I change my username
Good question, at this point in time there is no facility to do this, however we do not rule it out in the future. If you really need to change your username, we suggest you sign up for another account.
Will other sports be added to Fantator
Yes there will definitely be more types of sports added, however if you want to hurry us up, contact us and tell us to speed it up.
Is there a mobile version
At this point in time there isn't, however rest assured this is being worked on and as soon as it is ready we will be shouting about it. To be the first to know make sure you have opted to recieve news about news features from us in your settings.
Can I delete my account
NOOOOO. Of course you can, go to your settings page and click on the "deactivate link", this will allow you to deactivate your account.
